Financial literacy was a big topic at this year's Barron's Team Summit, where Paul Pagnato was a panelist for "Improving Financial Proficiency in the Next Generation of Leaders and Advisors". Moderating the lively topic was Joe Lanza, Director Financial Education for Barron's Group. Along with Pagnato, the co-panelists were Lisa Detanna from Raymond James and Tommy McBride from Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
The group presented and discussed the financial literacy challenges our country faces and improvements that could provide the biggest impact to families and the next generation.
“Students in class now will be future business leaders and entrepreneurs, which is critical for growth," says Paul Pagnato, CEO Founder at PagnatoKarp. "We share a responsibility to give back and reinvest in the next generation to help make a positive impact on future wealth abundance.”
The Barron's Teams Summit is by invitation only and brings together advisory teams Barron's considers to be elite-tier. The three days of rich content are designed to address the complexities of interpersonal dynamics, provide insights on financial management and share innovations in wealth management to help raise the bar for service and client outcomes.
Highlighted in the panel discussion was the Barron's in Education Program, a unique three-way partnership between Barron's, advisors, and academia. The program engages students to join business leaders, top market professionals, C-level executives, business school faculty, and highly successful investors across the Barron’s community around the nation. The program's goals are to spur educational opportunities, foster professional growth, and to provide learning experiences from some of investing’s best minds.
The Barron's sponsorship program gives faculty and students access to the Barron's top-notch financial platform which provides 24/7 online access to industry content with tools that enable live, real-time cases to be integrated into their curriculum.
