Matthew Armandi, CPA
Matthew Armandi is the Controller at PagnatoKarp, bringing more than 14 years of finance and accounting experience from private companies and public accounting firms. Matt is responsible for the firm’s budget and financial forecasts as well as day-to-day management of the Accounting department, monthly financial statements and profitability of divisions and departments. Using innovative technology, real-time dashboards and True Fiduciary® standards, Matt enhances the efficiency and transparency of data-based decision making to positively impact the financial management of the firm.
Prior to joining PagnatoKarp, Matt was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Aristotle International Inc., a political technology, consulting and identity verification firm located in Washington DC. Matt worked at Aristotle for nearly nine years, seven of which he held the titles of VP of Finance or CFO. He spent the first five years of his career in public accounting, most recently with KPMG. Matt has a variety of audit experience working with the Department of Homeland Security, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the US Peace Corps, Atlas Copco (STO:ACTO-A), and the Pentagon Federal Credit Union.
Matt earned his degree from West Virginia University with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems. He is a licensed C.P.A and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Matt resides in Falls Church, VA with his wife and two kids.
